A bug report travels much further with your device model, your Android version, the mode you were in, and what you expected to happen instead.
Common topics
- A mode says the sensor is missing. Not every phone ships every sensor — a device with no magnetometer cannot run the EMF meter. HauntKeep says so and stops.
- Readings look flat, or a mode seems dead. Sensor modes settle for a few seconds on entry so that picking the phone up does not register as a hit. If a mode was calibrated while something was moving, re-run the calibration while the phone is still.
- Permissions. Microphone, camera, and location are each requested only when you open a feature that needs them. Denying one disables only that feature. You can change your mind later in Android Settings → Apps → HauntKeep → Permissions.
- Recordings and captures. Everything you record stays in the app's private storage on your device. Use the app's share or export action to get a session out as a report or a zip.
- Most environmental context needs a connection. Weather, sun times, and the space-weather Kp index are fetched from third-party services and are labeled as fetched rather than measured. The moon phase is worked out from the date, so it appears offline like everything else. Radio Sweep is the one mode that needs a connection of its own — it streams public internet radio.
Your data and how to delete it
HauntKeep has no accounts and no servers of ours, so there is no account to delete and nothing of yours held on our side. You can delete individual recordings, captures, and sessions inside the app, and uninstalling HauntKeep removes all of its on-device data. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
What HauntKeep is not
HauntKeep is an entertainment app. It is not a scientific, medical, or safety instrument, and it makes no claim about what its readings mean. Measurements come from sensors, interpretive outputs from disclosed rules — both shown with their steps. If a reading matters to your safety — gas, electrical faults, structural problems — use equipment built and certified for that purpose.
