Sensor-driven ITC toolkit

Ghost hunting,
honestly instrumented.

an ITC instrument wired to real sensors

HauntKeep turns your phone into a kit of ghost-hunting instruments — an EMF meter, a spirit box, an EVP recorder, a vibration geophone, and more. Every reading traces back to a sensor in your phone, and the app shows you the trace.

The stance

Many apps in this category are built on a random number generator — a button is pressed, a number is invented, and it looks like a reading. HauntKeep is not.

HauntKeep does not claim to detect ghosts, spirits, or the supernatural, because no phone can. Every instrument tells you what it is actually reading. Modes that measure real, physical signals are labeled REAL. Modes built for mood and story are labeled EXPERIENCE. Context the app fetches instead — the day's space weather, local conditions, moon phase — is labeled as fetched, not passed off as something your phone measured. When the hardware is missing, the mode says so and stops rather than showing you a number.

How it stays honest

01 · Trace

The mechanism is on screen

Every mode shows the live sensor value that is driving it. Readings are derived from the sensor, never invented — no fake spikes, no rigged results.

02 · Label

Every mode declares itself

REAL, ENHANCEMENT, DETECTION MODEL, EXPERIENCE or COMPOSITE — the badge sits on the tile, at the point of choice, not buried once you're already inside.

03 · Baseline

Measured against your room

A baseline sweep records what your room's normal actually is, with a standard-deviation gauge, so you can tell a genuine swing from background noise.

Investigation sessions

A baseline, first

Record a baseline sweep so spikes are measured against your room's own normal — not against a number someone picked.

A correlation timeline

Events from every instrument line up on one ruler, and moments when two or more independent sensors react together are flagged.

Real environmental context

Tag a session with weather, sunrise/sunset, moon phase, and the space-weather Kp index — each labeled as fetched, not measured.

Export the whole thing

Take a session out as a clean report or a shareable zip: captures, recordings, notes and the event log, grouped by instrument.

Private by design

No accounts, no ads, no trackers

No sign-up, no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no ad identifiers. We operate no servers of our own.

Your captures stay on your device

Recordings, photos and notes are written to the app's private storage and excluded from cloud backup. Nothing is shared unless you share it.

One optional exception

The only thing that leaves your phone automatically is an approximate, rounded location sent to a weather service — and only when you tap to add environmental context. Read the policy →

For entertainment only

HauntKeep is an entertainment app. It is not a scientific, medical, or safety instrument and does not detect real supernatural phenomena.

It contains paranormal and mild-horror themes and is intended for a general — not young child — audience. Grab a friend, turn out the lights, and go exploring.
